Absolut Vodka was first launched in New York in the year; 1979, and it didn’t take long before it became the talk of the town, and soon enough; the rest of the world. This widely available Vodka is currently being successfully marketed in 126 countries and it has since made moves to reach out to some known names from here and there in regards to its endorsements and marketing. Some of Absolut Vodka’s brand ambassadors are Lola Marcus, Gareth Evans, barman Jan Toreheim, Ghanaian rapper; Edem, Zach Galifianakis, etc.
The Absolut Vodka brand came into existence in Nigeria in April 2013, and it has since been retailed in Nigeria from as low as ₦4,125, to as high as N16,300 – N17,000, considering the exchange rate at various times. Its price per litre varies, as the 4.5 litres Absolut Vodka is worth about N40,000, even though it is currently not being sold in Nigeria.
